Clarendon Cottages - Not far from Melbourne, very close to perfect!

Clarendon's boutique guest accommodation consists of three charming cottages in a secluded, peaceful and romantic setting. A quiet retreat for those who love quality accommodation and appreciate a beautiful garden. Two acres of English country gardens and meadow nestle amongst a huge variety of beautiful century old trees. The cottages are within easy walking distance of Sassafras Village, the home of the famous Miss Marples Tearoom (best scones on the mountain) and Sherbrooke Forest where you can see the Lyrebirds wandering happily.

Three cosy 1 and 2 bedroom cottages each with it's own individual charm are located separately on the two acre property. Log fires, spas, fully equipped kitchens and private decks are just some of the many features. Generous breakfast provisions are provided -cereals, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, juices, fresh country bread, jams, plunger coffee, quality tea - for you to wake and enjoy in the privacy of your cottage. A discount of 10% applies for bookings of 3 or more nights midweek (Mon-Thurs).

There are many things to do in the vicinity of Clarendon. Within minutes you be wandering around the lively and colourful villages of Sassafras, Olinda & Mt Dandenong, or be visiting six out of the eight Great Gardens of Melbourne - National Rhododendron Gardens, Alfred Nicholas, Cloudehill, Pirianda, William Ricketts Sanctuary, George Tindale Garden.

Many antique shops house treasures right next to contemporary galleries and studios filled with craft, sculpture and decorator items created by the many artists who have made their home here. Great restaurants, cafes and tearooms abound suiting a wide range of palates and pockets!

If you are looking for a little more action there are wonderful walking trails for you to explore in the National Park or perhaps challenge your fitness with a hike up the 1000 Kokoda steps at the foot of the mountain. Puffing Billy is 15 min
